Our Story
As many of you know, our love story wasn't exactly "love at first sight." It took seven long years before we even considered going on a date. Everyone around us seemed to know we'd end up together — everyone except us. Completely blind to the obvious, we finally caught on in 2022. Here's a short recap of how our story unfolded.
Humble Beginnings
Our story began not with a grand meeting, but with a warm welcome. In 2014, Tannavee arrived from Mumbai for a cultural exchange program. By a beautiful twist of fate, Romain’s family became her host family in France. What followed was an easy, natural friendship — long conversations about everything and nothing, laughter, shared moments, and a connection that quietly took root without either of us realizing what it might one day become.
Just Friends
Over the years, Tannavee returned to France, and although life carried us to different cities, we always found our way back to each other through visits, shared moments, and countless memories. Our bond remained steady and uncomplicated — a friendship built on trust, comfort, and genuine care. At that time in our lives, “just friends” felt exactly right. When Tannavee left France to return to India for good, we didn’t know it yet, but it would be three years before we saw each other again.
A New Beginning
When we finally reunited in 2021, time had gifted us both growth and clarity. We saw each other differently — recognizing a deeper compatibility, a shared vision, and a bond strengthened by nearly eight years of friendship. We decided to take a leap of faith: our first date, which revealed something truly magical. With Tannavee set to return to India shortly after, we made a promise — we would meet again, this time in Mumbai.
Building Our World
Our beginnings in Mumbai were an adventure in themselves. There, we discovered new sides of each other — resilience, balance, and a partnership that helped us grow stronger together. We traveled, dreamed, and built plans not as “you” and “me,” but as “us.” We learned that our differences didn’t divide us; they complemented us, shaping a life we were creating side by side.
The Promise
After three years of shared adventures across many homes, what we had long felt in our hearts was finally made official. On December 4th, 2024, in Rajkot, during a magical and unforgettable night, we got engaged — and our worlds became one.
